Dante’s Inferno had couple things going for it, way back when it was first announced. The most striking thing about this project was that it was going to be loosely based on a 14th Century poetry that was penned by one man’s imagination, fuelled by his faith and fear. Also, the development team working on the game is made up of the same guys that gave us Dead Space; which for my money is the most exciting game to come out of EA since a long time. Clouds of disappointment started looming when EA first presented the game-play video. Then after getting a chance to play the E3 code, it was pretty clear that Dante’s Inferno is going to be a God of War clone. When we contacted E-Xpress, distributors of 2K Games in India, we found out that the PC release of Bioshock 2 has been delayed. Even though the distributors declined to give an official reason for the delay, they assured us that the game will be available in the Indian market, starting tomorrow. The console versions of the game were released on time, but PC users will have to wait a little longer. However, the huge difference in price between the two versions is a huge consolation for a PC gamer. The console version of Bioshock 2 will retail at INR 2,499; whereas the PC version will be available at a delectable retail price of INR 699. Social game developers Zynga of Mafia Wars and Farmville fame has opened a new development studio in Bangalore, India. The studio has its headquarters in San Francisco, USA and this will be the company's first operations outside of the home turf. Zynga has two other studios, one in Baltimore and another one in Los Angeles.A certain Shan Kadavil has been appointed as the manager of the new studio in Bangalore, which will develop games and the underlying technologies. ...
