Capcom has announced that their sandbox-style zombie killer is slated for release in early September. The game’s release will be preceded by an Xbox exclusive DLC called Dead Rising: Zero, which will tie in the events between the first game and the sequel. There is no word on whether this DLC will be a free promotional item or premium content. The events taking place in Dead Rising: Zero will not be featured in Dead Rising 2.
Following this announcement, Capcom also released a new game-play trailer which shows off some of the game’s new features like customized weapons. Matias Myllyrinne of Remedy Entertainment gave a live demonstration of Alan Wake at the Microsoft’s press event. Before starting the demo, Myllyrinne is reported to have said that the game has been ready and in playable condition since May last year, and the team has spent all this time playing through the game and tweaking it. Special attention has been given to striking a balance between action and exploration, control system and tweaking the dynamic camera angles. The developers hope that this will make the game's set-pieces more immersive and combat more accessible. Crackdown 2 developers Ruffian Games gave a live demonstration at the Microsoft’s X10 event along with inkling to the direction they are taking with the game. By the looks of it, the studio is sticking to the basics of the first game and adding more of the best that game had to offer.Playing as an Agency agent, you will continue deft negotiations with the business end of your guns.
